- More than 1,000 families with two or more dependent children are living below the poverty line. That means one in five families in this community is struggling to put food on the table. It's a rate four times higher than the NSW average.
- In postcode 2168, thousands of children are growing up without enough food, warmth, or c certainty.
- More than 1 in 3 children (36 per cent) live below the poverty line, a total of 2560 children at the time of the last census
- In Cartwright, nearly 1 in 2 children live in poverty. In Ashcroft and Busby, it’s more than 4 in 10.
